Felt biscuits

A full-colour, step-by-step, photographic guide to making classic British biscuits and a biscuit tin from felt.

ISBN No. 9780955024191
Paperback, 170 x 170mm, 82 pages
107 full colour photos

Welcome to the fabulous world of felt biscuits! There is something really magical about taking a flat piece of common felt, a few yards of thread and a handful of wadding, and sewing, stuffing and sculpting them into something unique. Something that perhaps brings back memories, will last a lifetime and will make people smile. And the best bit? Felt biscuits will not make you fat!

I must warn you, though, it can become seriously addictive!

This book takes you through how to make these amazing felt sculptures. It describes in detail how to do all the stitches you'll need, gives you all the patterns you'll need, and then takes you step-by-step through the process of sewing a set of classic British biscuits and a biscuit tin out of sheets of felt. The biscuits are as follows: Custard Cream, Bourbon, Jam Sandwich, Shortcake and a Pink Wafer. The biscuits can be made anywhere - at the kitchen table, in an armchair in front of a fire or in a deck chair out in the sun. The finished set looks fabulous displayed on a cake stand or as part of a display on your table, windowsill or dresser.
