This book is an excellent introduction to the art of printmaking. Written by Sarah Roberts, an award-winning printmaker whose distinctive, nature-inspired prints have been featured in magazines such as Country Living and Country Homes and Interiors, it is perfect for the student wanting to try their hand at various printmaking techniques. Unlike many printmaking books which just describe the printmaking techniques, this book use clear, step-by-step photographs of Sarah at work at each stage of the printmaking process.
She begins by talking about her sources of inspiration and then takes you step-by-step through each of three printmaking techniques: linoprinting (sometimes written lino printing), potato printing and stencilling, detailing the tools and equipment you'll need for each technique.
In the book Sarah shows you how to make a range of contemporary stationery products – hand-printed greetings cards and envelopes, gift wrap, tags and labels and gift bags.
